Not as sensitive however still an inseries design surge suppression that will protect a 3 amp current, 34.4V DC and up. Notification and NAC circuits are different and require more current than SLC circuits and the surge suppression device needs to clamp at 44V or no more than 10 volts above it's operating voltage to be effective on low pf capasitance PC like fire alarm. This is also a noise filter as well. As a trouble shooter, we have used this product on SLC and data loops to deal with noise as an issue. It works very well, but not as tight for the clamping voltage. However, used as a noise filter because this device solves the noise problem such as radio station, or heavy white noise. Also an important feature is the fact that it is a UL listed device for fire alarms and Fire Marshals will not force you to take it off. It can be a fix, however any generated noise is telling you there is a grounding differential issue and a potential violation of Art. 250.94 of the NEC code book.

Notification and NAC circuits are different and require more current than SLC circuits and the surge suppression device needs to clamp at 130V or no more than 10 volts above it's operating voltage to be effective on low pf capasitance PC like fire alarm.
